Sales Tax and Transaction Processing

One Lane Market processes customer transactions through its centralized point-of-sale system and collects and remits applicable sales tax on those transactions. Customer-paid sales tax is not vendor revenue and is excluded from commission and payout calculations.

Vendor payouts use merchandise sales less applicable commissions, booth rent, fees, adjustments, refunds, discounts, chargebacks, and other authorized amounts.

Vendors remain responsible for their separate registration, reporting, licensing, income-tax, and other business obligations, including sales made outside One Lane Market. Vendors must provide accurate product information and notify the market if a product may qualify for an exemption or special treatment; supporting documentation may be required.

Vendor FAQ

Do I need to collect sales tax?

For purchases processed through One Lane Market, applicable sales tax is collected and remitted through the market’s centralized checkout system. Sales tax is not included in your vendor payout.

You may still have separate tax, licensing, or reporting responsibilities for your business or sales made outside the market. Consult a qualified tax professional with questions about your individual obligations.

Application Terms

Details to review before applying

These terms keep vendor spaces professional, organized, and easy for shoppers to browse.

Vendor expectations

Vendors are expected to keep their vendor space clean, stocked, organized, priced, and professional. Displays should be safe, approachable, and easy for customers to shop.

Product entry and tagging

Accepted vendors may receive SolentX Vendor Portal access to enter products, maintain prices, print or request tags, and keep product details current.

Tagging requirements

Items must be tagged with your booth number, item number, and price. You may add a small description if you would like.

Deposit and contract

A deposit equal to half a month's rent is required upon signing the contract to secure your space. The deposit is refundable at the end of the 6-month contract with a 30-day notice, as long as your booth space is cleaned and left the way it was when you moved in.

Account default policy

Accounts with outstanding balances exceeding $300 may be considered in default. Failure to make payment arrangements may result in merchandise being removed from the sales floor until the account is brought current.

Social media and promotion

Vendors are encouraged to promote their products and the market online. The market may also feature approved vendors, products, displays, or events through public promotions.

Vendor access and maintenance

Vendors are responsible for keeping their space maintained and communicating changes in products, availability, contact details, or restock plans.

Move-out notice

Vendors should provide reasonable notice before moving out so the market can update assignments, listings, tags, and space availability.

Loss, theft, damage, and insurance

Vendors are responsible for their own products, displays, and insurance needs. The market is not responsible for loss, theft, damage, or customer handling of merchandise.

Prohibited products and displays

Products or displays that are unsafe, illegal, offensive, misleading, counterfeit, unsanitary, or not a good fit for the market may be declined or removed.
